Getting to Mt. Washington
Mt. Washington Alpine Resort is approximately a 3-hour drive from Victoria, BC, making it an easy weekend getaway for families looking to hit the slopes. Take the Trans-Canada Highway (BC-1) north to Highway 19, then follow signs for Mt. Washington near Comox. We’ve visited Mt. Washington over New Year’s, to celebrate a January birthday, on the family day-long weekend in February, but we hadn’t gone up before over March break. It turns out this is the time to visit and we happened upon the best snow conditions we’ve had in a long time.
